Texting doesnot  seems to be the best way for couples to solve arguments, apologise or have serious conversations

some researchers conducted a study and  studied 276 young adults who was serious in their relatiosnships and found that being always connected through technology can create some problems in their serious relationships. 

accoding to the study, for women using text messages to apologise, or make decisions is associated doesn't seems to be effective . For men too, frequent texting is associated with lower relationship quality .
The study participants weren't just casually dating - 38 per cent said they were in a serious relationship, 46 per cent were engaged and 16 per cent were married. 

Each participant was analyzed thoroughly that included questions about use of technology in the relationship.  maybe the situation gets more worst when trying to convey through text ,messages

Reaction to disappointment and other feelings is more quickly face to face. There is a narrowness with texting and we  don't get to see the person that you need to see

For men, more texting doesn't necessarily mean a better relationship.  they don't get tired of receiving texts; their relationship satisfaction is also lower when they send a lot of texts themselves. 

but saying something sweet and being more romantic in a text works for both genders. expressing affection via text enhances the relationship for both the genders In fact, sending a loving text was even more strongly related to relationship satisfaction than receiving one.
