Deforestation is rapidly increasing in the Amazon by nearly a third over the past year, according to Brazilian government figures. This can be blamed on relaxation of environment laws. A quick solution is needed to stop this for once and all.

The Amazon rainforest is known as one of the world’s most important natural defences against global warming because of its capacity to absorb huge amounts of carbon dioxide. We all know,it jus takes a hour to cut a tree but years to grow a tree.

At a news conference on in the capital Brasilia, Environment Minister Izabella Teixeira called the increased rate of deforestation “unacceptable” if it’s tied to illegal activity.
