This great event came out as a solution to a huge fight that took place in the late 1970's. At a ceremony where many swimmers and runners were present.

There the two group started fighting over the matter which one was better than the other, each found people from their side stronger and fitter than the other.

Atlast they decided to solve this by making it a combination of all the three to decide the fittest man or the ironman,which was named ironman triathlon. 2.4miles swim, 112mile bicycle race and 26.2 mile marathon were fixed as task. This was the most peacefull solution to the find the fittest man. And still this event takes place every year
