When Einstein died in 1955,a small brown notebook containing his private calculations was found. Called the Zurich notebook, it gives a chance to look over Einstein's shoulder as he figures out his theory of general relativity.

The document known as the Zurich Notebook is a notebook, 17.5 x 21.5 cm, containing 45 sheets of squared white paper .Three sheets were left blank. The document thus consists of 84 pages.

Einstein's work in science, one stands above all as his greatest achievement, theory of general relativity.in it, he found a new way to think of the gravity. There are no forces which pull apples from trees and the other gravitational effects like the moons orbiting earth etc. They are merely responding to a curvature of space-time.

General relativity was an achievement of creative imagination. Through it, he found the boundary of science and art. Many scientists understood the faults of Newtonian gravity, but before Einstein nobody was able to give a better one.

And it survives because every test devised so far the theory won. His search for the theory spanned 8 yrs,1907-15.the theory is considered to be the greatest intellectual success ever. If we could choose one thing to have a look over how he figured out the theory, it would be the small, brown notebook found among his papers, called the Zurich notebook. The notebook, gives rather a huge perception about the theory, known as the best intellectual achievement by any human.
