The pop star, Justin Beiber has been arrested on the driving under the influence of drug or alcohol, drag racing and resisting the arrest of police.

According to the authorities, the star was taken into custody for the road-racing stunt pulled by him on Miami Beach this morning. It is said that the police initially stopped the star for drag racing in a yellow Lamborghini. He was caught speeding at 50-60 kmph in residential area of 30 kmph. Reports say that Beiber’s management blocked off the street especially for him to drag race.

According to police reports Beiber was defiant from the outset, shouting and swearing at the officers on the scene. He claimed that he wasn't drunk and that he was returning from the recording studio. However, reports suggest that he lied to the law enforcements and was returning from the club..

TMZ reports that Beiber is currently in police custody where he is being tested for drug and alcohol levels after failing to pass the sobriety test. He will therefore remain in custody and meanwhile his case will be filed and processed and the bail will be set.
