You pay every time you go out. It’s not wrong if you help him when he is in need. It’s your duty to help him in such a case. But if he is financially sound and earns pretty well every month, why don’t you just need to pay when you both go out. It’s a sign if he is misusing you. It's okay to split the bill between the two of you, but make sure you do not make a habit of pulling out your wallet every time you are out with him.

He is only available when he needs you. If he speaks to you or meets you every time he requires something, you must understand that he is misusing you. If he is true , he will be with you throughout your life  in your ups and downs

If he forces him to pay his bills, this is probably one of the greatest signs you need to watch out for. If he doesn't even bother paying his own bills, it's time for you to walk out.
