In recent research it is known that middle-aged people and older people with HIV-positive over time in their mental abilities are in trouble on the driving power, they also have a negative impact.

The research on AIDS patients, 26 adult at the age of 40 years old or more have been carried out that the driving simulation tests and mental Functionality they studied.

Researchers have announced the level of virus in the blood of HIV-positive patients, they do not impact on driving performance, but with increasing age can reduce driving ability and processing speed is less intuitive.

The results of this research a while ago in the journal of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care had been released.

David Vance, senior appraiser and Director of the Center for nursing research, University of Alabama at Birmingham, England says since four years almost half of the people with AIDS in the United States of America to arrive at age 50 or more need to do more research in this area.

He also has added that probably the drive is one of the most complex mental activity, which includes the ability to shift daily manage with quick decisions and pay attention and do the appropriate reaction for at the same time.

Vance believes many mental disorders are common in patients  and corresponds to the speed and processing criteria essential for safe driving functions.

With that in the research it is known that older people with AIDS by increasing the age of your driving ability generally will lose but no cause-and-effect relationship between a references to it yet.

David says that previous research has shown that on 29 percent of adults HIV-positive with the ability to drive. And that's just looking for more tests and research in the field.
