A study revealed that the behavior of self-control exercised by your partner can affect your decision-making process.

The research found that in the relationship that people have with high level of self-control partners tend to make better decisions, such as saving money or buy healthy foods compared with couples who have low levels of self-control. The researchers explained that the person who has a high level of restraint cares more about not to disturb the relationship and keep the peace, so they're willing to agree with any decisions without thinking.

The study suggested that the safest way for a successful relationship and a higher level of self-control is to find a partner has the same capabilities.

However, the people who have high levels of self-control should be care of the partnership with people with low levels of self-control because the probability is that the tendency to engage in pro-relationship behaviors may deny the advantages inherent in its quest to achieve its objectives in the long term.
