Google Tuesday same it's movement down Orkut, its "first raid social networking," to specialize in YouTube, Blogger, and Google+ services that have verified additional well-liked.

The California technology titan can pull the plug on 10-year-old Orkut at the top of Sept.

"Over the past decade, YouTube, Blogger and Google+ have embarked on," Google engineering director Paul Golgher same in a very diary post.

"Because the expansion of those communities has outpaced Orkut's growth, we've set to bid Orkut farewell."

Orkut was the results of a "20 per cent project" during which Google employees have to be compelled to pay a fifth of their time on concepts not essentially associated with their job responsibilities.

Orkut established significantly well-liked in Brazil, wherever 2 years agone it had been eclipsed by social networking powerhouse Facebook.

Google launched its Google+ social network in 2011 and has been slowly weaving it into different services.
